HEREFORD-based Sea Legs Puppet Theatre will be performing at The Chapel Arts Centre, Royal National College for the Blind on Saturday with their highly acclaimed production, The Selfish Giant.

The show which, since its premiere in 2007, has been performed all over the UK, was adapted from Oscar Wilde’s classic story by artistic director Rob Ashman and designer/builder Matt Hart.

Since building a wall to keep the children out of his garden, the only visitors the Selfish Giant gets are Lady Snow and her friends. One morning he hears the most beautiful music coming from his bedroom window and is delighted with the sight that greets him.

Set in a magnificent steel sculpted garden, the story is told using beautifully crafted puppets, a brilliant musical soundtrack and superb storytelling.

Sea Legs formed in 2001 and has since produced 12 shows, including such favourites as The Ugly Duckling, Peter and the Wolf and Little Bo Peep. Rob's vision has always been to produce top quality puppet theatre that is entertaining for children and adults alike.

The performance starts at 2.30 p.m, and there will be an opportunity to meet the puppets and ask questions after the show. Tickets, £4, available on the door.
