RICHARD Armitage will star in The Old Vic’s production of The Crucible, screened live at The Courtyard on December 7 and 14.
Arthur Miller’s classic American drama is brought vividly to life in this visceral new production by internationally acclaimed director Yaël Farber.
In a small tight-knit community, personal grievances collide with lust and superstition, fuelling widespread hysteria. Miller’s timeless parable attacks the evils of mindless persecution and the terrifying power of false accusations.
The Old Vic’s sold-out production received glowing reviews when it played this summer, with The Hobbit and Spooks actor Richard Armitage taking the lead as the tragic fallen hero, John Proctor.
The Crucible will be screened at The Courtyard on Sundays, December 7 and 14 at 7pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
