TOMORROW night, Tiffany Murray will give an atmospheric reading at Booth's Bookshop in Hay, from her latest novel, Sugar Hall.

When Lilia Sugar and her family move to the dilapidated Sugar Hall on the edge of the English/Welsh border, Lilia knows there are pasts that cannot be forgotten lurking with the moths in the curtains. It’s not long before her son, Dieter, finds a strange boy in the grounds of Sugar Hall, the ghost of a boy who was once a slave at Sugar Hall. As Sugar Hall begins to reveal its secrets it becomes evident that Murray’s ghost still holds a grudge.

Based on the local legend of the silver-collared slave boy who haunts Littledean Hall in the Forest of Dean, this is a truly spine tingling tale, perfect for dark autumn nights.

The event is free, but tickets are limited so visit boothbooks.co.uk to reserve your space.
