ARTS Alive and The Conquest Theatre in Bromyard are offering audiences a shivery treat for Hallowe’en, with Little Earthquake’s acclaimed production of The Tell Tale Heart.

In the heart of a bustling city, a wealthy recluse hides behind a barricade of bolted doors and blacked-out windows. His only companion is a private nurse, entrusted with taking care of him. Suspicion and resentment grow between the pair until the nurse hatches a ‘foolproof’ plan to dispose of his patient. Except, when the deed is done, the silence of the seemingly empty house is shattered by a curious sound…..

Little Earthquake Theatre has been described as ‘One of the most exciting companies making work in the West Midlands.’ This adaptation of Edgar Alan Poe’s gripping tale is performed by one actor who shares the stage with a sound artist creating music and totally live effects: every heartbeat, every ticking deathwatch beetle, every bump in the night will happen right before your straining ears.

The Tell Tale Heart will give you a delicious scary shudder but Little Earthquake assure their audience that only fruit and vegetables come to harm during the performance! Everyone over the age of 12 will enjoy this great show.

The Tell Tale Heart at Conquest Theatre, Bromyard at 7.30pm on Friday, October 31. To book, visit artsalive.co.uk
