GEORGE Feydeau’s high spirited romp Sauce for the Goose is stuffed with preening characters knitting their legs in sexual frustration, its heady mix of passions, pace and pleasure the perfect mix for a good night out.
The plot is simple: Lucienne is being pursued by the married Pontagnac, who is astounded to discover that she is already married to his friend Vatelin. Lucienne has sworn to be faithful as long as her husband remains so too. But then a keen old ‘indiscretion’ of her husband’s arrives from Germany with her own husband in tow.
Sauce for the Goose will be at The Courtyard on Tuesday, June 24 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk. Book tickets for two or more drama and dance shows and receive a 30 per cent discount.
