Live interactive storytelling interspersed with video interviews, music and photo archive – award-winning comedian Rosie Wilby traces a personal journey through early 90’s feminism to find the collective of women who set up Matrix, York University’s feminist newspaper in the 90’s.
Part homage to a simpler time for feminism just before “Girl Power” and the internet, part tribute to DIY-style feminist action, and part comedy documentary, Rosie Wilby's latest solo show, Nineties Woman, is a hilarious adventure story involving a blurring of personal and political history grounded by a good dose of twenty-first century cynicism.
Nineties Woman will be at The Courtyard in the Studio Theatre on Saturday 29 March at 7.45pm. For more information or to book tickets, visit the website www.courtyard.org.uk or call the Box Office on 01432 340555.
