AN award-winning adaptation of Jane Austen's classic Northanger Abbey is brought to the Assembly Rooms in Presteigne by Box Tale Soup, presented by Mid Border Arts.
The company's unique version of Northanger Abbey will transport you into a world of beautiful paper puppets and gothic romance, bringing out every drop of Austen's wit, playfulness and humour.
Created by Antonia Christophers and Noel Byrne, Box Tale Soup has three essential ingredients... their audience, their suitcase and themselves.
Box Tale Soup have conjured Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey out of a suitcase. With a start like this I expect them to go from strength to strength."
Michael Pennington
"You could have heard a pin drop: the audience was hanging on every word and character, and the strange thing about the puppets is how completely real they become." Joanna Lumley
Mid Border Arts present Box Theatre COmpany's Northanger Abbey on Saturday, March 15 at 8pm in the Assembly Rooms, Presteigne.
Tickets from No. 46 Wine Bar, Presteigne and on the door.
