Jada Pinkett Smith has some words of advice for newly engaged Miley Cyrus.

Hannah Montana star Miley, 19, and Hunger Games actor Liam, 22, stunned the world when they announced last week that they were tying the knot.

"Learn how to be friends, especially when you are starting that young," People quoted the Madagascar 3 star as saying.

"Forever is a long time", the actress, 40, who celebrates her 15th wedding anniversary to Will Smith in December, added.

"When you are starting at 19 years old, and it is not to say that there is anything wrong with that, but it is just to know that what it is now and what it will be, it is just going to continue to transform and change," the actress said at the premiere of her new film.

Jada added: "You have to be with someone you consider a friend."
