Jennifer Lopez had an embarrassing moment on live TV regarding her ex P Diddy when he appeared as a guest mentor on American Idol.

Judge J-Lo dated Sean Diddy Combs back in 2001 when he was known as Puff Daddy.

His work with the contestants was all pre-recorded, but when J-Lo talked to the contestants about Diddy's mentoring work, there was a long, uncomfortable pause when she had to say his name.

She laughed and said: "I was going to say Puffy," and then bowed her head, looking embarrassed.

The couple began dating in 1999, and split in 2001.

The pair reportedly bumped into each other at the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty last month, where witnesses said they had a slightly awkward reunion, according to Us Weekly.

J-Lo, 42, is now dating toy boy backing dancer Casper Smart, 24, following her split from husband Marc Anthony, father to her four-year-old twins Emme and Max .
