A band that's recently been signed to major music publisher ASongs and attracted the attention of Radio 2 will be playing at The Globe at Hay on Saturday, March 31.

The Reads release their new single,Galaxy Egg two days later on Monday, April 2.

In March 2010 the band was able to raise the cash to record their first album, Stories from the Border, with producer Jim Spencer, known for his work with Oasis, Doves and The Charlatans who was enlisted to record and mix the album. The project was later joined by Joe Duddell who wrote brass and string arrangements for several tracks and the final tracks were sent to Frank Arkwright (Arcade Fire, The Smiths) for mastering. Released in 2011, the album attracted attention in both the UK and US.
