Tim Kliphuis Trio to play in Presteigne

INTERNATIONAL gypsy jazz violin star Tim Kliphuis, widely hailed as Stephane Grappelli’s successor, will be joined at the Assembly Rooms, Presteigne, by Welsh guitar virtuoso Gary Phillips and rock-solid double bass master Pete Kubryk-Townsend, for a night of gypsy magic, Grappelli romance and some good old barn-storming swing. Kliphuis is well known for his work with gypsy guitar legends Fapy Lafertin, Angelo Debarre and Stochelo Rosenberg, and was featured on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune at the end of last year.
