THE Bad Shepherds play punk songs – by The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stranglers, The Jam and others – on folk instruments, and they’re bringing their unique sound to The Courtyard tonight (Thursday).
Among the Shepherds is Adrian Edmonson, best known for his comic genius in The Young Ones, and doubtless remembered by others for an equally fabulous comic turn on Celebrity Fame Academy.
He’s no stranger to the music world, having played Reading Festival, the Hootenanny with Jolls Holland and Hyde Park with The Who.
Playing with him are Troy Donockley on Uillean pipes, citters, whistle and vocals, and Andy Dinan, who won the All- Ireland Fiddle Championship twice. The Bad Shepherds are at The Courtyard tonight (Thursday) at 8pm. To book, call 01432 340555.
