Hereford Concert Band will be top of the bill at a concert in Holmer Church on Saturday, December 2 at 7.30pm.
The 30-strong band will be helping a trio of teenagers raise funds for a community work project in Malaysia next summer.
The trio: Alice Shaw,16, Emma Powell, 15 and Will Eckley, 14, pupils at St Mary’s High School, Lugwardine and members of Holmer Church, will be taking part in a World Challenge exercise involving projects for children and conservation.
Alice, who plays the cello and Will, a clarinet player, are members of the concert band and together with friends will be supporting the band with their own musical contributions. Tickets for the pre-Christmas concert are £5 and include a glass of wine and mince pies.
