Eighty-five musicians will be visiting Herefordshire as part of a five-day visit to the West Midlands. Singers and instrumentalists from one of East Anglia’s top music groups, Trianon Music Group and one of its partners, the Anglia Singers will be arriving in Worcester on Wednesday, October 25 and will given an evening concert at Belmont Abbey on Thursday, October 26 at 7.30pm.

This is the first time that Trianon has undertaken a tour of this kind in the UK, and during their short stay they will give a major concert in St George’s Roman Catholic Church, Worcester as well as three afternoon concerts in Worcester.

The musicians will be performing a programme of spirituals and sacred pieces together with instrumental ensemble pieces in their 70 minute programme at Belmont Abbey. Admission to that event is free although there will be a retiring collection in aid of the Abbey’s work in combating water and food shortage in Peru.

In anticipation of the tour, the Group’s conductor, Professor Chris Green said "We are particularly pleased to be coming to this venue, not only because of its links with Edward Elgar but because I have a nephew amongst the Brothers at Belmont”.
