Gwatkin Cider’s sixth Down on the Farm Festival takes place in Abbey Dore from August 11 to 13, headlined this year by Dr Feelgood.

The Festival started as a one-day event in 2012 and then expanded to a three-day festival the following year. The owner of Gwatkin Cider, Denis Gwatkin has played in several bands since his teenage years with most of the practice sessions and performances being at the farm.

Our aim is to give local up and coming bands the opportunity to play live on stage alongside more established names on the live music circuit.

In previous years the festival has brought a great selection of bands to the stage - the superbly entertaining Dr & The Medics, the fantastic tribute acts Hats off to Led Zeppelin, Guns n’ Roses Experience, Bootleg Blondie, folk-punk legends Sons of Clogger, the fuel-injected rockabilly band The Delray Rockets, Under A Banner, Artstar, Headsticks, local favourites the BBC acoustic band - and this year Dr Feelgoodo.

Returning again this year after its success in previous years is the festival's second stage, now renamed The Garden Stage which will showcase a variety of acoustic bands and solo artists throughout the weekend - and all under cover.
