The musical accompaniment to this year's Beer on the Wye, running from tomorrow until Sunday opens with an acoustic landscape of Americana and the spine-tingling harmonised vocals of The Haunted Souls, a four-piece band from Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

Friday headliners Hired Guns, winners of last year's Gloucestershire Battle of the Bands after just five months together, play a supercharged mix of Southern and hard rock featuring both original and classic cover songs, influenced by bands such as, Black Stone Cherry, Guns ‘N’ Roses and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Saturday brings classic rock tinged with progressive blues and a touch of psychedelia from power trio Stone Sole River, and one of the first gigs from Stone Mountain Sinners first gigs - formed around the powerful vocal harmonies of Neil Ivison and Sarah Warren, the local band is comprised from members of The Misers, The Haunted Souls, Slowburner and The Delray Rockets, and they're currently writing and recording their debut album.

Saturday's headliner Shamus O'Blivion (and the Megadeath Morrismen), makes a welcome return with their rock fuelled adaptation of traditional Irish and Scottish Celtic music. Sunday is family fun day, and the wide ranging sounds of Hannah and Brian will deliver contemporary popular covers of songs across soul, blues, jazz, reggae and folk styles.

Beer on the Wye returns to the banks of the River Wye at the city’s rowing club from Friday, July 7 to Sunday, July 9.
