After a year off to complete the building of the new cricket pavilion, Dymock Festival returns to Dymock Cricket Club on Sunday, May 28.

This is the fourth music festival in Dymock and aims to bring the community together along with music enthusiasts from both the local area and further afield.

The festival offers a mix of music - folk, rock, indie even some rockabilly - with a main stage for the headline bands and a ‘community’ stage showcasing both new and established local talent of all ages.

The festival starts at 1pm on Sunday, after the Dymock Half Marathon event comes to a close (on the grounds of the village cricket club) and rolls through the afternoon and into the evening. Bands have been scheduled to alternate between the main stage and the community stage so you can see all the bands and performers in full, and as the sun sets local DJs The Funk Cartel will take to the decks.

Organisers are thrilled to announce The Blockheads as the festival's headline act this year as part of their 40th anniversary tour and one of their few festival dates this year.

Also on the main stage line-up are The Delray Rockets, Red Room Therapy, The Baddoos, Jasper in the company of others, Mexicola, Jack Cookson and Little Boy Lost.

Appearing on the Community stage will be Caitlin Dunnett, Jordan Darrah, Emma and Sue Coombs, ‘Aliya, Felicity and Sophie’, Millianna Cotterell, Lila J, and Thro (Paul Carter), with MC The Ciderologist (Gabe Cook, familiar from TV appearances on Countryfile and Sunday Brunch).

Tickets are available through the website at dymockfestival.co.uk, or local residents can buy them from Well House garage or the Beauchamp Arms pub in Dymock.
