Hay Chamber Music Festival, now in its third year, brings a weekend of world class music-making to some of Hay-on-Wye's favourite venues including Richard Booth's Bookshop on Lion Street and St Mary's Church, from tomorrow until Sunday.

Commenting on the Festival, organiser John Stark said: "We are thrilled to be staging our third chamber music festival here in Hay-on-Wye. It's a lovely weekend of music-making with world class music performed over three days in some of Hay's favourite venues with post concert talks and suppers too. Don't miss out on this little annual gem."

Tomorrow at St Mary’s Church the Fitzwilliam String Quartet, the Festival’s resident quartet, made up of violinists Lucy Russell and Marcus Barcham Stevens, viola player Alan George and cellist Sally Pendlebury perform alongside the Dragonfly Trio of Moray Welsh, Marcia Crayford and Susie Mészáros. They have chosen a programme of Bruckner, Brahms and Schubert followed by a post-concert discussion with the musicians. On Saturday evening, there is a pre-concert supper (booking essential) and concert at Richard Booth's Bookshop with the Fitzwilliam Quartet playing Bach, Alan Mills, Glazunov and Schubert. On Sunday afternoon, the Fitzwilliam Quartet and Sinfonia Cymru perform Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Symphony No 29 and Haydn’s famous Farewell Symphony No 45 at St Mary's Church.
