The Phoenix Theatre in Ross-on-Wye is spreading its wings and taking on a new genre to present Ruddigore or The Witch's Curse by Gilbert and Sullivan.
The Phoenix Theatre began life in 1921 as the Ross Operatic and Dramatic Society, which, when the old fire station site became available, opened in its new permanent home in 1983, transformed into The Phoenix Theatre Company in 2002.
Musicals and opera have added to the company’s growing repertoire and their production of Ruddigore promises to showcase the theatre’s technical investment with dramatic special effects.
Ruddigore runs at The Phoenix Theatre from Monday, March 27 to Saturday, April 1 at 7.30pm. To book, call Rossiter Books on 01989 564464 or visit phoenix-theatre.org.uk
