A CELEBRATION of choral music will bring together soul, male voice and classical choirs at The Courtyard this January.

Sing Choir Sing will feature some of the best choirs in Herefordshire including Cantabile Girls Choir, Hereford Soul Choir, Got2Sing, Fire Choir, Britten Singers, Voice Academy, Garrick Singers and Hereford Police Male Choir.

Supported by Cotswold Hereford MINI, the evening will be compered by X-entricity Theatre director Steve Liddle who will also perform alongside talented local vocalist Lauren Hughes.

Melanie Denning, fundraising manager at The Courtyard says: “Music – and singing in particular – is a mainstay of Herefordshire life so we wanted to celebrate the amazing range of choral talent in a wonderful showcase while also raising much needed funds for two great arts charities. Where else would you get to hear so many brilliant voices all on one stage, on one night?”

Dennis Schiavon of The Music Pool, says: “We do so much of our work in partnership with The Courtyard that we’re doubly delighted this event is going ahead and will celebrate the great quality and diversity of singing in our county.”

Sing Choir Sing is a joint fundraiser for The Music Pool and The Courtyard, and will be at The Courtyard on Friday, January 27 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
