HUSBAND and wife duo Megson bring their unique brand of folk music to The Courtyard this month.
Megson have gained fame on the British folk scene, not only for their intelligent song writing, but for their musicianship and northern humour which draws heavily on their Teesside heritage.
Debs and Stu Hanna released their much anticipated new studio album Good Times Will Come Again earlier this year, gaining them much critical acclaim, with folk broadcasting legend Mike Harding describing it as “One of the top albums of 2016".
Megson’s infectious vocals, lush harmonies and driving rhythmic guitars have seen them three times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of the Spiral Earth Awards.
To celebrate folk music this season, The Courtyard are giving customers a free pint of Wye Valley Brewery’s Butty Bach to enjoy before the show when two full price tickets are purchased.
Megson will be at The Courtyard on Friday, November 11 at 8pm. To book call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
