FEROCIOUS folk foursome 4Square are bringing their fiery, inventive and virtuosic brand of alternative folk to the Cedar Hall, Dilwyn on Saturday.

Described as “simply stunning” by the legendary John Tams, the night promises to be highly entertaining. Their trademark live show features the spectacle of Nicola Lyons’s simultaneous fiddle playing and clog dancing and virtuosic mandolin from Michael Giverin, galvanised by the driving sounds of Jim Molyneux’s piano and Dan Day’s percussion. The result is an infusion of folk, jazz, Latin, and any other musical style they feel the inclination to absorb. The night is a highly anticipated return to Dilwyn by the band who performed at the Cedar Hall in March 2014 and were so well received by the audience on the night that a second encore was demanded!

The band is currently on tour in support of their fourth studio album - Fuel – which was released in March 2016 to high praise and reached a wide audience through an extensive tour and radio air time from the BBC Radio 2 Mark Radcliffe Folk Show and Mike Harding’s popular folk podcast.

4Square will play at the Cedar Hall in Dilwyn on Saturday at 7pm. For tickets, call Ruth Davies on 01568 720 226 or email ruthdavies2010@gmail.com
