HEREFORD Blues Club will once again prove it is the place to be on Saturday, October 1 when blues singing sensation, New Yorker Sari Schorr, a recent inductee into the New York Blues Hall of Fame, performs for Hereford blues fans at The Booth Hall, with support from the Troy Redfern Band.

Sari Schorr’s voice has been described as having the power of Tina Turner or Elkie Brooks combined with the raw emotion of Janis Joplin. Her performance at the prestigious 2015 International Blues Challenge in Memphis so impressed legendary producer Mike Vernon (Fleetwood Mac, John Mayall, Blue Horizon, etc.), that he was tempted out of retirement just to produce an album with her.

Sari’s band The Engine Room features the amazing blues guitarist, Innes Sibun, who has toured with Robert Plant, Roger Chapman, and Chris Farlowe, and whose own band has opened for Peter Green and Johnny Winter.

The Troy Redfern Band - Troy, Alex and StJohn - were described earlier this year as the best blues trio in the UK.

Doors open at The Booth Hall at 7pm. Tickets available on the door.
