THE second concert in Wye Valley Music's June series takes place on Saturday, June 11, at 3pm at Hom Church, near Ross-on-Wye, and will feature Sara Trickey (violin) and Daniel Tong (piano). Sarah is an award-winning violinist both as soloist and as a chamber musician. Her regular collaboration as a duo with Daniel Tong has received much praise and they have recently recorded Schubert's sonatinas together. Daniel has performed as soloist and chamber musician at most of the major venues in the UK and many in Europe. He is founder of the London Bridge Ensemble and is Head of Piano in Chamber Music at the Birmingham Conservatoire. Their programme will include violin sonatas by Beethoven, Schubert, Fauré and Elgar. A pre-concert lunch at 12.45pm for 1pm will be available at The Mill Race, Walford.
To book, visit wvm.org.uk. The cost of the concert is £18 for the public, £15 for members and £2 for students. Bookings for the pre-concert lunch cost £16 per head (two courses) or £19 per head (three courses) and must be made in advance.
