LEGENDS of Irish music and song, The Fureys, return to The Courtyard on Sunday.
Renowned for their hit songs I Will Love You, When You Were Sweet 16 and The Green Fields of France among many others, you can expect their songs to stir many emotions.
The band was formed in 1978 after brothers Eddie and Finbar were involved in a road accident whilst touring in Germany. George, Paul and Davey travelled from Denmark where they were touring with their own band to be with their brothers. They then decided that they should all be playing together and this was the start of The Fureys. Since then the band have performed their music to audiences across the world.
George and Eddie have continued to delight audiences on their tours and have just released a new CD - The Times They Are A Changing
The Fureys will be in The Courtyard’s Main House on Sunday, May 8 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
