THE second annual Hay Chamber Music Festival takes place on April 1,2 and 3 ,and will feature the world-renowned Fitzwilliam String Quartet, the ever-popular Dragonfly String Trio, members of Sinfonia Cymru Orchestra and organist Tom Wilkinson.
On Friday in St Mary's Church the trio plays one of Beethoven's finest trios followed by the combined groups in sextets by Richard Strauss and Tchaikovsky.
Saturday's concert in Richard Booth's Bookshop includes String Quartets by Shostakovich and Beethoven and Sunday afternoon's concert in St Mary's Church includes Handel's glorious organ concerto and music by Purcell and others.
