TOMORROW sees the start of a new season of Black Lion Jazz at The Old Black Lion in Hay-on-Wye.

The season kicks off with a special performance by the Graham Pike Quartet. Graham is a versatile performer – trumpet, blues harmonica and flugelhorn in addition to some great vocals (Sinatra and the Count style), and he will be joined by Phil Mead on piano, Olly Blanchflower on Double Bass and John Gibbon on percussion.

Simon has just launched his new CD of his own compositions much inspired by his home territory of Presteigne.Twice a month Mr Jazz himself, the well-known and much-loved Hereford performer Dave Price, will be on piano, with a bassist.
