HUSBAND and wife team Stu and Debs Hanna are critically acclaimed folk duo Megson: three times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of the Spiral Earth Awards.
Debs Hanna is a classically trained musician and her husband a former punk; through a rich mix of musical traditions they create superb melodies and matching intimate harmony singing against their own multi-instrumental acoustic playing. Their compositions draw heavily on their Teesside heritage to create a truly unique sound, infused with their fantastic musicianship and characteristic humour.
Folk aficionados will be queuing up for tickets to see Megson, who have been lauded by Guardian critic Robert Dennison as: "The most original duo on the British folk scene."
