SATURDAY sees a rare home gig for Men in General, the Malvern-based quintet of high-flying a cappella singers in suits of questionable provenance (especially Bill’s), as they perform in St Peter's Church, North Malvern.

Among the five are members of The Spooky Men's Chorale (Australia), The Singing Sous'Chefs (UK) and a Bargain Hunt expert. Men In General are quintuplets, so they say, separated at birth and recently re-united by a social networking site, now talking and singing Billy Joel, Lou Reed, Red Molly, Marvin Gaye, Meghan Trainor, Joe Jackson, Coope Boyes and Simpson, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Stills, Tom Jones, The Beach Boys, The Spooky Men’s Chorale and other top lyrics.

Men In General mix à cappella classics with comedy, advice on relationships, what not to wear and the tender side of blokedom. Includes highly interactive flights of fancy. Fast-moving and funny. A five-piece force of male vocal antics not to be missed. The show includes indoor parachute jumping, a road movie, Storm Millicent, a painting by Edward Hopper, unusual hobbies for men, a pub at midnight and mistakes anyone could make.

With Simon Batten, William Coleman, Ben Cooper, Jim Howden and Adrian Mealing

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. To book visit wegottickets.com or call Andrew on 01684 893858.
