2FACED Dance Company and The Courtyard have joined forces to present a series of events for emerging performance artists. Entitled I.D. these evenings will give performers a platform to showcase their work in front of a live audience.

The first I.D. night will take place in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Sunday, November 28 at 8pm and will focus on emerging dance artists.

Over the past couple of months The Courtyard and 2Faced Dance have been receiving submissions from artists wanting to perform at the event.

“We are really excited to be partnering with The Courtyard to be able to offer these performance evenings for new artists," says 2Faced's artistic director, Tamsin Fitzgerald. "There is a gap in the market for events like this in Herefordshire and we want to fill that gap. It is so important for artists of all genres to be able to show their work in front of audiences and get feedback and why should they have to travel out of the county to do that?

“The first I.D. night focuses on dance artists but our aim is to provide a series of these evenings, each with a different focus. I would encourage people to come along and support I.D. by buying a ticket and watching something they won’t be able to see anywhere else.”

David Durant, Associate Director at The Courtyard, said, “We aim to encourage and nurture new and upcoming talent in Herefordshire and I.D. will give performers the opportunity to showcase that talent. Think of this first one as an open mic night, but for dancers!”

Tickets for I.D. at The Courtyard on Sunday, November 22 are £5. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
