FOLLOWING the success of their 40th anniversary concert in January, the Britten Singers will be performing their next concert, with a spring and summer theme, in All Saints Church.
The beginning of their programme will feature one of the most historic pieces related to the two seasons, Summer is a comin'in, with madrigals to follow.
As ever, the Singers will be performing a very wide range of music, including pieces by Vaughan Williams, Moeran, Britten, Gershwin and local composer, Andrew Morris. Also featuring in the programme will be poetry readings and a group of pieces for brass ensemble, played by members of the Britten Singers. The concert takes place on Saturday, June 6 at 7.30pm and admission will be free, with a collection in aid of Alzheimer's Research. For further details, contact Sue Conridge on 01432 269818 or Britten Singers director, Pamela White on 01432 356757.
