ARTS Alive scored a big hit in late 2013 with The Harmonettes, a fantastic trio of talented performers who are now back with a brand-new show: Dorothy’s War.
It’s Spring 1919: the war is over; it’s an important day for the village, a day of celebration - a bright, hopeful day. But for Annie and Elizabeth this is also the day when a woman arrives in the village who will change their lives forever. Who is she? What has she to do with them? And who is the man that connects them all?
Dorothy’s War is based on the extraordinary, true story of one woman’s courageous journey into the heart of a man’s war. It’s told through songs of the period ranging from much-loved favourites to forgotten gems, all sung live in close-harmony.
Dorothy's War will be at Cawley Hall in Eye near Leominster on Friday, April 10 at 7.30pm. To book, call 01568 615836 or visit artsalive.co.uk
