GLASBURY Arts continues to punch above its weight to bring the internationally renowned and bestselling violinist, Tasmin Little, to the small Borders village to present an afternoon workshop for young string players. Later the same day, the virtuoso violinist will present an evening recital, the programme for which will take listeners on a musical journey from Telemann to Bach.

Tasmin Little has firmly established herself as one of today’s leading international violinists, performing on every continent in some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw, The Royal Albert Hall and the Lincoln Centre.

Her multi-award winning and varied career encompasses international concert and recital performances, masterclasses, workshops and outreach work in the community.

The programme for the evening’s recital at 7.30pm will include Telemann Allegro, Patterson Luslawice Variations, Bach Chaconne, Bach Gavotte, Loure and Gigue from E major Partita, Albeniz arr. Jennings/Little Leyenda from Asturias (Edition Peters)and Ysaye ‘Ballade’ from Sonata No.3 in D minor.

There are still places available for the workshop, a fabulous opportunity to pick up advice from one of the UK’s leading violinists, at 2.30pm to 3.30pm at Gwernyfed High School. Tasmin Little will then be in concert at 7.30pm, also at Gwernyfed High School.
