LAST year, Hereford-based rock band Jeaga extricated themselves from their contract with a record label to go it alone.

With the responsibility for their future back in their own hands, the band members immersed themselves in creating an album that, says lead vocalist Christ Stott, "would be a landmark for us and represent being an independent band."

Chris, and fellow band members Dean Cooke on guitar, Aaron Shelley on bass, wrote and produced their new tracks in their own studio, did their own photo shoot, self-funded a music video and found a distributor for their music.

"That all led to the release this month of our new album Two Shot Surrender, which is available to download on iTunes, Amazon, as well as stream on Spotify.

"As a band our goal is to make music that throws punches to the stomach but also gives you a helping hand to get back up again. The heartbeat of our band is born in the studio where we make music that is very instinctive and influenced by bands such as Alter Bridge, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n Roses and Aerosmith.

Career highlights include playing Nozstock Festival, SportBeat Festival and the legendary 100 Club, London.
