THE new season of Music in New Radnor starts on Saturday, October 11 with The Village Quire performing their setting of Precious Bane - an atmospheric setting of Mary Webb’s story of love, betrayal and ambition. Set in Shropshire at the time of the Napoleonic Wars, this is the story of Prue Sarn, a gentle country girl cursed with a hare lip, and her love for Kester Woodseaves the weaver.

"We are delighted that The Village Quire is performing for us," said Mary Tolhurst for MiNR. "This concert series has been going for 30 years and we are continually pleased by the high standard of local performers that we can find."

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets available in advance from 01544 231732.
