ARTS Alive kicks off an exciting new season of top-quality, live, music, comedy, dance and theatre with the welcome return of the irrepressible Bowjangles. A string quartet who happen also to be very clever, very funny performers, they bring their new show, On the Box! featuring a day in the life of a TV that’s been left switched on.

The energetic musicians of Bowjangles parody a variety of familiar programmes, with exhilarating dance routines and rousing songs chucked in for good measure. Meet hilarious characters such as the Despairing Newsreader, the Operatic Adulterers and the Fleet Footed Strictly Contestants, all accompanied by the quartet’s flawless string playing, while their cherished violins, viola and cello serve as tennis rackets, fencing swords or merely accessories to a full Charleston routine, Bowjangles keep the action roaring and the music soaring.

Bowjangles will be leaping on – and out of! – the box at Breinton Village Hall on Thursday, September 11 at 7.30pm. To book, call 01432 350919 or online at artsalive.co.u
