A PROGRAMME of words and music inspired by the First World War, will be presented in Pembridge Church on Sunday, August 3.

Pack up Your Troubles is devised by international conductor and Herefordshire resident Robert Dean, who will accompany two up and coming young London-based singers: Dominic Sedgwick (baritone) and Tristan Stocks (tenor).

Narrated by Christopher Good, famous for his appearances on stage and tv, who also lives in Herefordshire and will present the concert of songs, poetry and readings from the Great War. Tickets available from 01544 388292 or by email from ra@ra-ms.co.uk

Proceeds from the concert will go towards the Pembridge Church Fund.

Robert Dean was an opera singer for 10 years before turning to conducting, since when he has had an international career conducting opera and concerts throughout the UK and in North America and Europe. He is also much in demand as a voice teacher in London.

Already much in demand as a soloist, baritone Dominic Sedgwick is currently studying on the post-graduate course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Tristan Stocks trained at Dennis O’Neill’s prestigious opera studio, The Wales International Academy of Voice. He has sung for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Aldeburgh Festival and Grange Park Opera, and is currently rehearsing Carmen for Mid-Wales Opera.

Christopher Good is an English actor whose film and tv credits include Victor Victoria, Midsomer Murders, Murder Most Horrid, Rumpole of the Bailey, The Choir and Doctor Who.
