THE Hereford String Orchestra will be holding its Summer Symphony concert in Leominster Priory on Saturday at 7.30pm.
The soloist will be Dean Wright, principal trumpeter with the Welsh National Opera orchestra, who will be performing the exciting trumpet concert written by American composer Arutiumian. Other items on the programme will include Brahms Symphony No 3, Sibelius Karelia Suite and Butterworth Shropshire Lad Rhapsody (based on the poems of A E Housman).
The orchestra will be conducted by Roland Melia and led by Christine Lenton.
