VIOLIN phenomenon Nigel Kennedy will take his audience Bach to the Future with two concerts celebrating his favourite music.
In a typically maverick programme, Kennedy opens with an incomparable performance of solo Bach, before being joined on stage by his stellar musicians to entertain the audience with unique collaborations across the genres: from classical music to jazz, gypsy, Klezmer and much more. As the best-selling classical violinist of all time, whose brilliance has been admired in an international career spanning three decades, Nigel Kennedy is acknowledged as one of the world's leading violinists. He is also a generous performer, connecting with audiences in a way seldom experienced in traditional classical music venues. Last year was a vintage year for the violin virtuoso. A sell-out tour was met with rave reviews. The Times announced he was on ‘scintillating form’ while The Guardian praised his ‘exquisite mix of grace and favour’, and the Independent pronounced that the Last Night Of The Proms had been the best in years ‘thanks to a resplendent performance by the evergreen Nigel Kennedy’.
Bach to the Future is at Malvern Theatres of Monday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 2 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01684 892277 or visit malvern-theatres.co.uk
