HEREFORD Chamber Choir, which has just celebrated its 30th anniversary, joins forces with the Academia Music Orchestra of Hereford Sixth Form College, in line with its policy to encourage young performers, to present the hauntingly beautiful Faure’s Requiem on Friday, May 9. The programme also includes a selection of instrumental and choral music by Handel, Vaughan Williams, Chatman, Lassus and Hely-Hutchinson. This concert is in aid of The Friends of Hereford Cathedral which the Chamber Choir supports on a regular basis, and features soprano Megan Griffiths, baritone Roger Langford and Bronwen Williams on harp and John Williams on organ, directed by Stephen Gowland.
Hereford Chamber Choir is a choir of mixed voices, founded in 1983, which aims to provide a platform to perform a broad spectrum of choral music to the highest possible standard.
