FOLLOWING the success of its recent production of Princess Ida, Hereford's own multi-award winning Gilbert and Sullivan society is looking for keen new singers who are interested in music theatre to take part in its next production at The Courtyard: Back to 1964 on Friday July 4. You will be warmly welcomed by a supportive group who range from talented teens to enthusiastic retired!

"Two years ago we performed a very successful Jubilee concert looking back to the music of 1952," said musical director Alan Durman. "The music scene 50 years ago in 1964 was very exciting. Apart from the flourishing pop charts with the rise of singers and groups like The Beatles, there were ground-breaking musicals like My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins and Fiddler on the Roof. We will be singing music from all of these and we would love some new singers to join in with the fun of this friendly society."

Rehearsals are every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm at 31 Castle Street, Hereford from April 29 and there are no auditions.Long hair, bell bottoms and mini-skirts not essential.
