HAZEL O' Connor returns to Goodrich next weekend, three years after her sell-out appearance in the village.

This month, she makes not one, but two, appearances, firstly on screen in the iconic film, Breaking Glass, in which she co-starred with Phil Daniels and Jonathan Pryce, as Kate, an angry but creative young singer songwriter.

Hazel will then be seen again, in person, on Saturday, April 12 as she takes to the stage in Goodrich Village Hall, celebrating the release of the new album Here She Comes and the publication of her acclaimed autobiography Breaking Glass Barefoot.

This is the third album to emerge from the legendary songstress’ ongoing collaboration with saxophonist Clare Hirst (Bellestars, Communards, David Bowie) and pianist Sarah Fisher (Eurythmics). The highlights include highly emotive – all new – co-written songs, ‘In the Still of the Night, ‘Going Home’, original story-telling songs poignant with longing, loss, regret and unrequited love, delivered with unswerving resonance by one of the most distinctive song-stylists of theatrical pop.

Tickets for Breaking Glass on Friday, April 11, available on the door.
