REGGAE Pie are returning with two bands for a lively evening of ska and reggae at The Jailhouse next weekend.

Nine-piece band 1Eye, a soon-to-be-huge act it's whispered, are performing after the debut of local band Rebel Lion formed from several Dubmerge members.

1Eye recently toured as official support for the legendary Jimmy Cliff on the UK leg of his world tour, and perform at The Jailhouse as part of a Reggae Pie evening of fun.

Joining the two brilliant live acts are Reggae Pie’s own stable of DJs including the inimitable Dr Nico Demus playing a ska set between the two bands, joined by Dave from Radio Brapp fm and Cai Roots.

Playing outside in Room Tree will be Larsey with a Valentine's dancehall set and Ally Baba playing lady reggae tunes.

The 1Eye sound, which boasts a brass section, takes influence from the likes of John Holt, Ken Boothe and The Heptones, and the band will soon release their second album Worries & Trouble.

1Eye have worked with some of the most respected names in the business. Alek (lead vocal) and his brother Andy Sax occasionally feature as Plan B’s brass section and are in the official Love Goes Down video as well as the Hewlett Packard HP Beats advert. They also appear as Russian gangsters in Plan B's directorial debut ill Manors’

1EYE are proud to have support from the legendary David Rodigan who is playing their music on his new BBC Radio 1Xtra show.

Reggae Pie is at The Jailhouse4 on Saturday, February 15, 9pm to 3am.
