TWO of the country’s leading singers will be topping the bill at a Hereford Shire Hall concert on Saturday, May 18, as guests of Hereford Police Male Choir.
Stephen John Davis is renowned for his roles on the West End stage, especially as The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera and soprano Denise Leigh won the hearts of the nation when she sang at the opening ceremony of the Paralympics in London.
Now they join up with the police choir for its annual concert.
Stephen, whose father Mike from Bodenham sings in the police choir, has performed in several top West End musicals including the recent special 25th anniversary performance of Phantom at the Royal Albert Hall which was screened live to cinemas worldwide. Denise (left), a former pupil at Hereford’s Royal National College for the Blind, made her musical debut in 2003 and has since toured the world and recorded two top selling albums.
Both have previously sung with the choir in Hereford to wide acclaim and their return visit will undoubtedly create a big demand for tickets.
Tickets for the concert at 7pm are available from The Outback, Church Street, or from choir members.
