Criminal minds get together in Hereford

FOUR authors of crime fiction will be gathering at Waterstone’s bookstore in Hereford next week for a special event.

Women Behaving Badly features Rebecca Tope, author of the popular murder mystery series featuring Devon detective Den Cooper, undertaker Drew Slocombe, and Thea Osborne, house sitter in the Cotswolds.

Rebecca is also the ghost writer of the novels based on ITV’s Rosemary and Thyme.

Joining Rebecca for the crime fest are Priscilla Masters – the author of 10 crime novels, which introduced Detective Inspector Joanna Piercy, a freewheeling cycling enthusiast based in the moorlands of Staffordshire, and three medical thrillers inspired by her family’s background in medicine – and Kate Charles, a former chairman of the Crime Writers’ Association specialising in crimes of a clerical nature. Completing the quartet is Penelope Evans, who, in one critic’s view, “has established herself as a master of psychological suspense”.

Women Behaving Badly takes place in the crime section of Waterstone’s on Thursday, March 25, from 11am to 1pm. For further details, call 01432 275100.
