IT’S that time of year again – the time for mischief and mayhem, thigh-slapping and the odd double entendre – as the panto makes a triumphant return to town with Jack and the Beanstalk, which promises to be a giant of a show.
This year’s Courtyard cast of professional panto stars are already hard at work on rehearsals, polishing up their act for opening night on Friday, November 28.
Stars of the show this year include Rob Swinton as Dame Cherry Sponge; former Courtyard Youth Theatre member Max Gell as Jack Sponge; John Buckridge as Chunk and, playing a goodie for the first time in seven years, author of Jack and the Beanstalk, Lyndsay Maples plays Fairy Cake. Natalie Duvall appears as Princess Cupcake, and Hereford-based actor Robert Traynor is Baron Wasteland. Michael Mogridge is dance captain, joined by dancers jessica Hathaway, Sacha Nella and Simon Mayhew.
