A wry look at the body beautiful

DEAR Body, the latest project from Protein Dance Company, is a witty satire on our growing obsession with body care and image.

Through high-energy physical theatre, comedy and dance, this latest offering explores the most personal question of all – the relationship we have with our own body.

With distinctive animation by award-winning film-maker Rachel Davies, Dear Body is played out by six professional Protein dancers and an ensemble cast of local community members.

If you would like to be a part of the ensemble cast, the company will be running a taster workshop at The Courtyard tomorrow (Friday) from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, which will be led by their choreographer, Luca Silvestrini.

You don’t have to have any professional dance training, just a love of dance and be over 16 years old.

If you go on to take part in the February show at The Courtyard, you will need to be available for two half days on February 3 and 4 and for the performance itself on February 5.
