1:42pm Friday 4th July 2008
A RIP-roaringly funny evening of comedy is brought to The Courtyard by Mandmdirect.com, the Leominster-based online discount retailer, in aid of two local charities, the Laurie Engel Fund, which is linked to the Teenage Cancer Trust, and The Little Princess Trust.
A host of comedic talent will be on display, including Sean Hughes (team captain on Never Mind The Buzzcocks), Adam Bloom (a personal favourite of Ricky Gervais and award-winning stand-up), the intelligent and witty Simon Evans and David Hadingham, a hilarious, dry-witted performer. To top it off, singer-songwriter Anna Ditchburn will punctuate the evening’s comedy with her best music.
The event, which takes place in the Courtyard’s Main House on Wednesday, July 9, at 8pm, supports the Laurie Engel Fund, a charity set up to improve cancer treatment facilities for young people at Birmingham Hospital. Proceeds will also be directed to The Little Princess Trust, the Hereford-based charity that provides wigs and hairpieces to children undergoing treatment for cancer.
To book, call 0870 1122330 or visit courtyard.org.uk
