AS the result of this year’s Young Photographer of the Year competition is announced, Hereford College of Arts invites young photographers to put themselves in the picture for next year’s prize.

If you are aged between 11 and 19 and you enjoy taking photographs, HCA wants to see them.

There is no specific theme, so entrants can choose any subject they like – from people to places, big events or small occasions. The competition is open to anyone who falls into one of the two age categories – 11-15 or 16-19.

The deadline for entries is September 26, 2008 and prize-winners and selected entries will be part of an exhibition at Hereford College of Arts in the autumn.

The overall winner will also be given the opportunity to exhibit at Hereford Photography Festival 2009.
