THE Courtyard was the venue for some of the hottest sounds on Hereford's music scene last week, the first time it has been used to host a music gig.
The Anomalies, Brandon Steep and Pencil Toes have all had a successful yearwith The Anomalies getting airplay on Radio One, Pencil Toes supporting The Gossip at Rock City in Nottingham and Brandon Steep busy in the recording studio.
All three bands felt that The Courtyard was a good music venue especially with the facilities on offer.
"Live music is the way forward and there's no reason why The Courtyard couldn't be used as a major venue to attract bigger bands like The Klaxons. I think it would be really popular," said Luke from five-piece band Brandon Steep.
The Anomalies used the gig to showcase new material which bandmember Sam described as "a slightly different sound with a bit more singing" and announced that they would be releasing their next single - a double A side - in January.
Pencil Toes and Brandon Steep will be reuniting to perform at the Jailhouse in Hereford on December 16.
